The one where we drive…

Moonlight drive
down a lonely country mile

top down, wind in our hair
radio plays “Love Me Do”

gravel spits and dust flies
your laugh lifts me

how could real life be like this
like a dream

I turn off the road
turn off the headlights

the milky way spirals
and I can feel the earth move

the coyote sings a lonesome song
a chorus of joy

how could real life be like this
like a dream

a bottle of red
and Van Morrison over the airwaves

a slow dance
in a meadow under the stars

how could real life be like this…
